Industry Studies Development
Frank Giarratani, Principal Investigator

Frank Giarratani coordinates the activities of the Committee for Industry Studies, which has been established by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, to further the development of Industry Studies as a professional association. The Committee is comprised of two Sloan Program officers, Gail Pesyna and Frank Mayadas, and three senior scholars: Frank Giarratani (University of Pittsburgh), Ken Kraemer (UC Irvine), and Richard Lester (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). The professional association that is forming around Industry Studies includes faculty members from the Sloan Industry Centers, their students who have gone on to faculty positions of their own, and a large network of like-minded scholars who have no direct connection with a Sloan Center but share similar research goals.
