2010 Industry Studies Conference
The 2010 Industry Studies Conference will be held on May 6-7, 2010, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. An opening reception also is planned for the evening of May 5. The 2010 conference program includes competitively selected organized panels as well as individual papers. Abstracts are now being accepted for consideration by the Program Committee. Detailed information about the submission process can be obtained by viewing the Call for Papers linked above. Details concerning conference registration, including registration deadlines and fees, will be posted as soon as possible. We have negotiated a reduced rate for a limited number of hotel rooms at the Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro. The hotel is not yet accepting reservations at the discounted rate; however, we will make an announcement when the rate becomes available.
As in prior years, the Program Committee has developed topical and discipline-related research streams to organize the submission process. You may submit your abstract to a stream if it reflects your research. However, the streams are not meant to be exhaustive, and the committee also looks forward to reviewing submissions in the “General Industry Studies” category. For more information about the research streams please explore the links below.
Research Streams
Researchers may submit 150-word abstracts for single papers. Accepted papers will be assigned to sessions by the program committee. We also encourage researchers to propose panels comprising multiple papers on a common theme (e.g. using one methodology across multiple industries, or multiple diverse approaches to a common problem in a single industry). Submissions can be made online by clicking "Abstract Submission" at the top of this page. The deadline for abstract submissions is December 21, 2009.
