This site was created in early 2002 to introduce the Center for Industry Studies. The Center was established in July 2001 at the University of Pittsburgh as a multidisciplinary research center. These pages highlight our research projects, discuss our history and goals, introduce our faculty, staff and students, and provide public access to the Steel Plant Database. Anne Jackson is the owner of Jackson Information Design, a complete information design consulting services firm. Areas of focus include web design, technical and business editing, and digital photography, with a special areas of focus in business planning.

Enoch Chan

Enoch Chan is a researcher at the Institute for Software Research, International (ISRI) at Carnegie Mellon University. His work focuses on semantic web and context-aware mobile web services, and he is currently developing a context-aware system prototype. Outside of the ISRI, Enoch's interests also include working with digital film and video production. He recently graduated from CMU with a Master of Science in Electronic Commerce.
